This weekend, I ventured to Lexington, Kentucky to visit my sweet friend A from college. She grew up Versailles, KY and is at UK law now, which is just about 3 hours from Nashville so I have been promising a visit for months!
I left on Friday at noon, the first day the sun had come out in about 6 days. It was an incredible drive through mountains and rolling hills with my favorite music playing and nothing but grateful, joyful thoughts in my head.
This girl is the best tour guide EVER (remember when I visited her in Paris here?) and I knew she would plan an unforgettable Lexington experience for me. I loved meeting her friends, hearing about law school, and meeting her cute new boyfriend! Not to mention… she taught me how to scroll on my new mac.
On Friday, A brought me to one of her favorite restaurants in downtown Lexington called Table 310, and it was amazing! She ordered the foie gras:
I had the lobster mac n cheese and forgot to take a picture, but the presentation was equally beautiful. On Saturday, I got to see a lot of the Lexington attractions that she had told us about in college, like Keeneland, a bourbon distillery, and A’s house (which happens to be on a farm!). It was such a fun weekend and I am already wanting to go back for another visit!
Here are some more pictures of the weekend:
Happy Sunday!
